As an exception, you do not have to weigh garden waste loads that will be paid with garden waste tickets. The load must fit into a passenger car trailer. Detailed instructions for garden waste delivery here

How to use the vehicle scale

See the detailed instructions for disposing garden waste here (In Finnish).

Once you have emptied your load at the collection point, drive to and use the exit vehicle scale next to the Valokaari Office.

Park your car in the parking area. The load is paid at the register with a payment card (we do not accept cash). Please remember your vehicle’s registration number, as you will be identified with it. The charge is determined according to the weight of your load.

Are you delivering waste materials with different prices? Read what to do according to this example:

  • You should weigh different waste materials separately to make it easier to calculate the correct charges. We must be able to calculate the amounts of separate waste materials being delivered to the Waste Management Centre.
  • Example: You are delivering pressure-treated wood, bricks and a couch.
Drive to the entry vehicle scale and take the couch to the Sorting Arena Lare. Then, drive through the exit vehicle scale next to the Valokaari Office for mid-weighing. Thanks to these two weighings, we can calculate the amount of mixed waste you delivered.
Drive through the entry vehicle scale and take the bricks to the Recycling Yard Kirsi. After, drive through the exit vehicle scale for another mid-weighing to calculate the weight of the bricks.
Drive through the entry vehicle scale again and deliver the pressure-treated wood to the Recycling Yard Kirsi. Drive through the exit vehicle scale for the final time to figure out the weight of the wood load. Afterwards, park your vehicle and pay the total sum of the loads at the register.

Please note that pressure-treated wood and asbestos must always be weighed and sorted separately.

If you are delivering treated wood, security documents, asbestos, hazardous waste subject to a charge or sawdust to the Rusko Waste Management Centre, drive to the entry vehicle scale and contact the staff using the speaker phone. You will be instructed.
